Plug
All Dynaplugs use rubber plugs to help seal punctured tires. Dynaplug makes two kinds of bicycle plug tips for different applications: standard soft tip plugs with pointed ends for smaller punctures and larger Megaplugs with bullet-shaped ends for larger lacerations. Be sure your Dynaplug is loaded with the right plugs to match your needs. We sell extra plugs separately so you can stock up on extras.
Insertion Tube
Dynaplug's durable, stainless steel insertion tubes house the plug and protect it from dirt, grit, grime, sealant, and other bad stuff when it isn't in use. The tube acts as a kind of scaffold for the plug, allowing you to push the plug's soft rubber through holes, cuts, or slashes in your tire's stiffer compounds.
Plug
Dynaplug's tools come in a variety of models and colors, and all are CNC'd from tough 6061 aluminum or carbon glass-filled nylon for durability. Although all of Dynaplug's tools essentially do the same thing, certain tools are more effective for certain applications. Since the tool is what you hold when you apply your plug, its shape can make plugging a puncture easier or more precise, and its size and storage capacity can determine how many spare plugs and insertion tubes you can carry. Accessories
Some Dynaplugs come with accessories to make your puncture repair easier and cleaner. Pipe cleaners can clean insertion tubes after use, so you can insert another plug without worrying about slippage or stickage. The small knife included with models like the Pill allow you to cut excess plug material from your repair site, making it easier to insert a second (or third) plug for big punctures, and for cleaning up your job after completion. Finally, you can quickly use Dynaplug's air stopper to temporarily prevent air and sealant from escaping a puncture while you prepare the site and tool for a plug.
